Indian Cinema. 2 days back Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 75th
birthday with his family in Maldives.
He made his debut in 1969 with the film Saat Hindustani,
after that it was no looking back for him. He has become the face of the Film
Industry.
Today we are going to list down 10 of his best movies. It’s
very difficult to choose only 10 movies from a career spanning 50 years in the
industry. So, this is a personal point of view.

Amar Akbar Anthony:
It is a 1977 Indian action comedy film, produced and directed by Manmohan
Desai and written by the great Kader Khan. It is about three brothers separated
from their parents and raised in three different faiths, Hinduism, Islam and
Christianity. They unite in their youth to fight a common antagonist. Amitabh
Bachchanportrayed the role of Anthony Gonsalves, which made him win the Best
Actor Award in 25thFilmfare Awards.

Sholay:
This action-adventure film was directed by Ramesh Sippy and written by
Salim-Javed. The film revolves around 2 criminals Jai and Veeru (Jai - Amitabh Bachchan and Veeru – Dharmendra). It
is one of the best Indian Films ever made!

Abhimaan:
It is a Hindi musical drama film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya
Bachchan. The film had some beautiful songs, which have etched our heart.
Amitabh ji plays the role of a singer who marries a village girl Uma played by
Jaya ji.
Uma becomes more famous with time and Subir gets jealous and the marriage

Silsila:
A romantic drama film directed by Yash Chopra starring Amitabh Bachchan,
Jaya Bachchan and Rekha in the lead roles. It is a love triangle of its three
stars and shows the power of true love.

Leela Bhansali starring Rani Mukherjee alongside Amitabh ji. The story
orbits around a deaf and blind girl, and her relationship with her teacher who
later develops Alzheimer’s.

A 2017 bollywood romance directed by R. Balki starring Amitabh Bachchan,
Tabu and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. The story revolves around a 65 year old
unmarried man falling in love with a 34-year-old woman and the various incidents that occur around

Another one from R.Balki starring
Amitabh ji, VidyaBalan and AbhishekBachchan. It is based on a kid who is
suffering from progeria played by Amitabh Bachchan, his mother VidyaBalan and
father AbhishekBachchan. The story shows the bad relationship between his
parents and the incidents leading from there. It is a masterpiece as it’s not
easy for a 70-year-old man to play the role of a 10 year old.

Sarkar Series:
Political crime thriller directed by Ram Gopal Verma starring Amitabh ji
and his real life son and daughter in-law Aishwarya Rai.
It is based on a wealthy political criminal family and their doings. It’s
an intense film and is a must watch if you like political films.

Piku:
It is a comedy-drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar starring Deepika Padukone,
Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in the main leads. It also stars
Moushumi Chatterjee in a very fun loving role.
The film is about a father-daughter relationship and their day-to-day
struggles. It’s a lighthearted movie and has spectacular music!
10. Pink:
It was the movie of the year! Breaking down various social stigmas it
touched our chord. It is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and is a courtroom
drama.
It’s
about a retired advocate who helps 3 friends in their fight to prove a
political person’s son wrong. It is a very relatable film.
There are many more films of Amitabh Bachchan which is on
the must see list, but these are the best ones if you want to enjoy some classic
acting.
