Shahid & Shraddha's Upcoming Comedy, Drama Movie "Batti Gul Meter Chalu"

And Bollywood is bringing one of the most exciting jodi on the big screen again with a new upcoming movie “Batti Gul Meter Chalu”.

The Shahid-Shraddha duo is back and we are looking forward to this union! 2017 has been a low for Bollywood and the new movies are giving us a lot more to build on and ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is not an exception! After a movie like ‘Haider’ we expect nothing less than brilliance from the Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor duo, “kal raat se batti gul hai phir bhi bill sabka full hai” in some way encapsulates the type of bold things the movie will showcase.

The writer, Vipul K. Rawal had previously written ‘Rustom’ which was much loved. It will be exciting to see how the makers have made changes to the movie when they realized that it was pretty similar to Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. This Shahid starrer will have him in lawyers shoes as he fights against the electricity department as he unknowingly get entangled in the vicious corrupt system. We definitely think the movie could have better timing since Akshay has been ruling the charts in the stated genre.

Shahid did have a pretty slow year since his high budgeted ‘Padmavati’ is yet to see light of the day! He has time and again proven his mettle as an actor and we definitely expect big things from a actor of his caliber!

Although after the ‘Haseena Parkker’ disaster we have almost given up and have lost hopes when it comes to Shraddha and all we can do is hope that she doesn’t disappoint like before!
