Taapsee Pannu has carved a niche for herself in Bollywood,
besides maintaining a notable presence in the Tamil and Telugu film industries.
Isn’t it? Taapsee Pannu may have made her Bollywood debut in 2013 with Chashme Baddoor but it was Shoojit
Sircar’s 2016 drama Pink and the lines "No, means no," that made put
her on the block. The diva that impressed us all with her glamorous role in
‘Judwaa 2’ has her kitty full of several roles an actor would be envious of. As
per the latest reports, the actress will be seen playing the part of a
professional shooter in yet another inspiring story ‘Womaniya’, that is said to
be produced by Anurag Kashyap and directed by a new talent.
As per a report, the actress will next be seen essaying the
role of a shooter in Womaniya. The film will be greenlit by Anurag Kashyap and
will witness a new director coming on board. The yet untitled project is
currently searching for its second female lead while Taapsee has already been
finalized. Talking about the project a source revealed, “The film follows two
professional woman shooters and their success story against all odds. Both
actresses will require training in shooting before the film kicks off to
maintain authenticity. Anurag will be introducing a new director with this project,
which is inspired by the real-life success stories of several women
professional shooters.”
This is the second project Taapsee and Anurag will be
collaborating, the first one being Manmarziyan. The project which initially
starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar was re-introduced with Taapsee
and Vicky Kaushal in the lead. Being produced by Aanand L Rai the film is a
love triangle tale helmed by Anurag. If reports are to be believed Abhishek
will also star in this project which kick starts next month. Apart from
Manmarizyan, Taapsee will also star with Diljit Dosanjh in hockey player
Sandeep Singh`s biopic Soorma.
The ‘Baby’ star will reportedly need to get trained in
